Between Stops
In our daily routines.
From bed to bread.
From work to Albert.
From dinner to Twitter.
And all the waiting in between.
For many of us, the tram is part of this experience, even during the challenging times of a pandemic. As we travel to our destination, numerous moments occur that often go unnoticed.
This photo project explores the experiences of tram passengers in The Hague during the Covid-19 pandemic. A period in which public spaces, such as the tram, no longer functioned only as a means of transport, but also as a mirror of our changing society.
The photos capture not only the physical journey, but also the inner experience of passengers: the tension of uncertainty, the longing for normality, and the silent connection in a time of distance.
With this project I want to capture a snapshot of a special period, and pay tribute to the tram as a silent witness to our daily lives.
