ADAMANT

The photo project ADAMANT invites the viewer on a journey to the deepest layers of the human being, where precious stories and undiscovered inner strengths lie hidden. Like gemstones that form in the darkest, deepest layers of the earth, our most valuable stories and insights often emerge from the toughest experiences.

This photo project explores the metaphor of ADAMANT – the symbol of something unbreakable and of immense value – that hides in the “darkest place” of our inner world.

The photos show vulnerable stories of students and teachers from The Hague University of Applied Sciences, in order to break the taboos surrounding mental health. They portray the intimate and often hidden emotions that are buried deep in the heart, but also the strength and beauty that arise when these stories are brought to light.
